New Banner Ad Position - Omniscient - Apr 29, 2026
I will be working on a new Banner Ad position for HF that will be integrated into PMs. It will only be displayed to non-upgraded members. I estimate at least 200-300 views per day, very targeted ads especially towards new members.
Pricing will be weekly and I think I'll start at $25-40 with 3-4 rotating ad positions.
Expect this to be integrated soon and this is the moment to leave feedback while I'm coding this out.

PM Ad Banner option is now available.
Price is $30 per week. Max rotation of 4 ads. But I expect only one or two will be sold thus giving very good CPA/CPM for early buyers.
Please note that the Welcome PM from Stanley goes to every new member. This means every new member is very likely going to see this ad very clearly.

Originally wrote a plugin years ago. While cleaning up and deleting unused plugin files I came across it. It was old like from 2012 or so, I think even before all the ads were fully automated. I deleted the old plugin and just incorporated the code into existing My Ad Manager plugin.
So yeah, at some point it was Active and it was used on HF and then Deactivated.

A gentle request: please ensure keeping ads limited to non-upgraded members.
I sincerely hope HF doesn’t become oversaturated with advertising like so many other forums have. To me, it’s similar to when restaurants start cutting costs by using lower-quality ingredients to increase profit margins—while it may seem beneficial in the short term, it often ends up having the opposite effect by diminishing the overall experience and, ultimately, driving people away.
One of HF’s strengths is the quality of its environment, and I’d hate to see that compromised.

There are never banner ads displayed to upgraded members who are logged in.

I guess we'll find out won't we. :) Let it run for a week and see the clicks.
I have no desire to add a full system for the ads with CTR. I always suggest for banner links that you use tracking likes.
