PC feels inconsistent lately, not sure whats causing it - waraktis - Apr 29, 2026
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but my PC feels really inconsistent lately.
Sometimes everything runs perfectly fine, games are smooth, system feels fast, no issues at all. But then other times, even doing basic stuff feels a bit slower or I get random stutters in games that were running fine before.
Temps look okay from what I can tell, nothing overheating. I’ve updated drivers, cleaned up some background apps, but still feels like performance isn’t consistent.
It’s not a huge problem, just annoying because it’s unpredictable. Makes it hard to tell if it’s hardware, software, or just Windows doing its thing.
Anyone had something similar? Not sure where to even start checking at this point.

If it isn't a big hassle try doing a reformat of the drive with a fresh OS copy. Save your core files and backup to your new install. If you are still getting inconsistent performance then you have it narrowed down to hardware. If so I would make sure you are running stock clocks and do a test on your memory sticks first.
