Marketplace Contracts Guide
How to Trade Safer on Hack Forums

Contracts are the safest way to deal on Hack Forums.

They create a verifiable record of a transaction, help staff investigate disputes, and allow both buyers and sellers to establish marketplace credibility.

If you're using the Marketplace, you should be using Contracts.

Why Contracts Matter
  • Creates evidence tied directly to HF accounts

  • Allows users to leave Credibility ratings

  • Helps staff investigate disputes

  • Protects both buyers and sellers

  • Reduces impersonation and offsite scam risks

  • Required for Marketplace sales thread feedback

Important:
Contracts help reduce risk, but all deals on HF are still done at your own risk.

How to Use Contracts in 60 Seconds

  1. Open the seller's sales thread

  2. Click their Contract button

  3. Review the terms carefully

  4. Wait for the Contract to become Active

  5. Send payment only after both parties accept

  6. Complete the transaction

  7. Leave Credibility feedback

WARNING:
Never send money, crypto, accounts, services, or products before the Contract becomes ACTIVE.

The other party reviews the Contract terms and either accepts or denies the Contract.
  • Accepted Contracts become Active

  • Denied Contracts must be recreated with revised terms

  • Contracts automatically expire after 72 hours if ignored

Important:
Do not send payment until the Contract becomes ACTIVE.

Phase 3 - Active Contracted Deal

Both parties have accepted the Contract and the deal may proceed.
  • Send payment or products

  • Complete the agreed service

  • Add transaction IDs when possible

  • Monitor the Contract status

Tip:
Transaction IDs provide useful evidence during disputes.

Phase 4 - Complete Contract & Leave Credibility

If the transaction was completed successfully:
  • Mark the Contract as complete

  • Leave Credibility feedback

  • Document your experience honestly

If problems occur, you may open a dispute tied directly to the Contract.

Phase 5 - Completed Contract

The transaction has been completed and Credibility has been exchanged.

Even after completion, disputes may still be opened later if issues arise such as:
  • Chargebacks

  • Broken products/services

  • Fraudulent behavior

  • Unauthorized recoveries

Common Scam Mistakes

1. Sending Before Active
If the Contract is not ACTIVE, do not send anything.

2. Discord Impersonation
Always verify the HF account actually controls the Discord account you're speaking with.

3. Rushed Deals
Scammers often pressure users to act quickly.

4. Offsite Deals
Moving entirely off HF reduces evidence available during disputes.

5. Vague Terms
Detailed terms help both users and staff understand the agreement.

6. Unrealistic Prices
If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually is.

What Contracts Do NOT Guarantee

Contracts help reduce risk, but they do not guarantee:
  • Refunds

  • Recovery of stolen funds

  • Product quality

  • Moderator intervention in every case

  • Protection from poor decisions

Always trade carefully and understand the risks involved before sending payment.

Safe Trading Checklist
  • ✓ Contract is ACTIVE

  • ✓ UID matches the seller

  • ✓ Terms are clear

  • ✓ Credibility reviewed

  • ✓ Contact information verified

  • ✓ Risk understood

Trade smart. Use Contracts. Stay safe.
