Assassin's Creed's real $500,000 treasure hunt - Oh_Well - May 15, 2026
This is it guys.
We have been preparing our whole lives for something like that.
You solve 15 riddles, you submit a guess on where the chest is located in the Carribean and the first person to get it right wins the chest.
How awesome is that?

I wonder if they considered all the AI agents that will dive into this... I don't think they realize what people will do for half a million $ (including me, lol)

wow... for a min i thought Oh_Well was running this giveway, I thought fuck me im gonna have to try harder! lol
Interesting.. I wonder if the idea spawned from something on here.
Definately interesting share lets put a team together and get it cracked! I've had guys on training for this!

I read somewhere that it might take up to 5 years to solve the riddles, but I don't believe it. I think it will be a few weeks until someone cracks it

I remember back in the day there's Satoshi's Treasure Hunt contest. It took a lot of time. I was also trying to solve it. Unfortunately though it turned out to be farce at the end because the organizer didn't wanted to give Bitcoins away in the end and vanished. That was the end of it.
Also with these contests. You don't even know if the Treasure is really there. What if the organizers themselves took the treasure away and can easily oh look somebody must've already took the treasure.
So much time and effort you would be putting into these. Makes it not worth it at the end.

I mean this is great marketing for them, $500k reward is nothing for the millions they are going to earn. But Ubisoft overall is a cruel company so who knows.

I remember seeing something about this and thinking it was pretty damn cool. Don't believe we've ever seen such a gaming related thing done before or at least on this level. I'll be curious to see how long it takes for it to get figured out.
