Metal Bands Going AI - Pr0m3th3us - May 29, 2026 I have noticed ALOT of the more niche metal bands/gothic (female lead vocals in specific) showing up in my youtube feed recently. Come to find out when i actually started looking into these "bands" it wasn't what i thought. After further research it seems its all AI and dominated by it and people in the comments don't seem to know this. Just a bunch of bots or NPC's posting 30 emojis and the same random "love this" text. The days of Amy Lee (Evanescence), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Tarja Turunen (Nightwish), Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), JINJER are gone and it sucks. Glad i got to see them all in concert multiple times. But damn im pissed and sad... Three that particularly piss me off is "Nox Resonantia", "Shield_wolf" and "MIVIRA". Great lyrics, great vocals, great riffs...its actually all fucking AI and that's disappointing...because i can never see them in concert. Nor can anyone else. I'm not saying you should idolize people but damn you should at least be able to see them in concert. It seems the best we can hope for is stuff like "Siren Void" who has said this over and over... Quote:Since day one, we've been transparent, AI generates the instrumentals. Everything else is us. The lyrics, the concepts, the emotion, the artwork, the vision. AI is the instrument. We are the artist. Fuck me, i hate the matrix. No records, concerts, merch....i dont get it. I dont think that Itunes, spotify, etc should allow this stuff... RE: Metal Bands Going AI - DramaKing - May 30, 2026 You don't go looking for anything new now. I guess AI instrumentals isn't that different from synth, though. And at least YouTube is adding AI detection to videos, for what that's worth. (May 29, 2026 11:18 PM)Pr0m3th3us Wrote: How though??? No records, concerts, merch....i dont get it. Rules are made to be broken, right? RE: Metal Bands Going AI - Pr0m3th3us - May 30, 2026 (May 30, 2026 04:11 AM)DramaKing Wrote: You don't go looking for anything new now. A7X, Slipknot, Metallica, FFDP have all said they are either currently working on some or plan on it. FFDP is releasing a new album this year. I don't use spotify so i wouldn't know what they do for rules and stuff, i buy CD's and vinyls. Ill post a thread with pics of my CD collection...there's....a couple... |
