June, the month of Father's Day. Does anyone have something planned? - TheNaturalBoy - May 29, 2026 Alright, this is a lighthearted topic, but for some people it can also be difficult or even insignificant. The main question is: do you have your father present in your life? If so, do you usually give him a small gift? Take him on a trip? Or maybe just do something simple for him? There are people who have difficult or nonexistent relationships with their fathers or biological parents. Some have a father figure who isn't necessarily their biological father. Others have lost that loved one, or in the harshest and most painful cases, never got the chance to know him for various reasons. With that in mind, what do you think about this day? And for those of you who are fathers yourselves, do you think your family or children will give you a small gift or surprise? I'd like to think that many people have that mindset of, "Nah, I don't need anyone to get me anything," but it's hard not to feel a little warmth in your heart when it happens. So tell me, how do you feel about this occasion? How are you spending it? RE: June, the month of Father's Day. Damn, I knew these kinds of responses would show up eventually, but I didn't think they'd come this fast hahaha. The main question is: do you have your father present in your life? He recently died. And there's really so much to admire about him, but my sister did the moronic "No contact fad" where you pretend your living relatives are dead because you're just a selfish asshole. Then the C U Next Tuesday didn't come to the fucking funeral. Also my dad's wife's son did all kinds of fucked up things to try and financially abuse him. And the government here has all kinds of fucked up rules to disinherit biological families like a marriage revokes a will and then if your loved one has dementia and forgets to write a new will they give everything to the spouse's estate. These men were in their fucking forties when the marriage occurred so they weren't brought up by him and all one of them did was see him once a year and then financially try to abuse him and the other never bothered to see him or speak to him. So it's very fucked up. Luckily I'm not in a position where I desperately need money. There's a way to fight it if it doesn't work it's gonna be fucked up because all these stupid rules mean that although the government's default law will give everything to them only a spouse or biological family can administer the estate so these pricks can't administer the estate to themselves and I'm first in line under government rules to administer the estate to them. So crazy. My beautiful husband died young and so my kids have been fatherless. One since childhood the other since teen years. But these two dads were both very wonderful, good men, so in that sense I'm lucky. My sister went no contact because my father took her on a trip to Asia [he took me to Europe.] And she got food poisoning on the trip so she held a grudge about that for like 20 years. She said his friends in India were unhygenic and he put her at risk when she was 12 by taking her to their house. 🙄 RE: June, the month of Father's Day. First of all, please allow me to offer my deepest condolences for your two losses, from the bottom of my heart and with the utmost respect. A life is truly filled with stories, moments, and experiences. Wow. Even when there is no longer a loved one present to celebrate Father's Day, it is comforting to know that the memories, admiration, and love they left behind through their actions and presence are still very much alive. Does anyone have something planned? - Weekend Offender - Jun 1, 2026 My Mums BF has done more for me than my own father..So I will just get him some Guinness and a nice personalised glass or some 'keep sake'. My actual Blood father can go F himself. RE: June, the month of Father's Day. Does anyone have something planned? - RiveR29 - Jun 2, 2026 Yea.
