Rust or C++ for malware development - goatzM1lk - Jun 4, 2026 Which of those low-level languages is best for malware development (specifically RATs). RE: Rust or C++ for malware development - exedexes - Jun 7, 2026 Both are probably great for the task. But I guess C++ is still more common. RE: Rust or C++ for malware development - CL1B - Jun 7, 2026 For shells it's the same networking principles. For everything else it's up to you, generally speaking C has a much broader eco systems which matters when you're building let's say a framework of things. In cybersec the hyped gains from RUST don't really apply in practice, so don't bother looking @ those either. Apart from cybersec I'm continuously rolling into RUST but found myself outsourcing practically everything.. most of it comes from major workflow shifts like waiting 30 minutes compile time even @ cloud compute with beefy units. Just not something I'm used to and would probably tank any solo C dev's productivity by at least 200% |
