Attachments - Omniscient - Jul 17, 2026
Today I'm reviewing the MyBB attachments system. Mostly just ensuring that we're up to date with branch (or at least close) and that any new stuff I can add to increase attachment usage. I plan on adding a few meme types including Python and HTML.
If you have ideas for meme types you believe I should add please post.
btw, I will not add archive files (tar/gz/zip) ever. But ideas for scripts like python makes sense.

Thumbs up on scripts. People should be wary of any code that they find here, so I'm not really worried about attachments.

So easy to take any script and upload it to AI and ask what it does.

Edit: after thinking about it, it's kinda a bad ideas because of false positives :D
It's up to members to check anything they download.
What if the malicious code is actually the intent? How would you deal with that?
