Digital forensics - Vladimir_Belyakov - Jul 18, 2026 Please recommend the best courses and certifications in digital forensics. RE: Digital forensics - Guns3524 - Jul 21, 2026 Hi the best Digital Forensics certifications in my opinion are: 1. GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) - highly regarded in the industry and by law enforcement agencies. 2. GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) - great for starters and focuses heavily on Windows. 3. EC-Council CHFI - popular but more entry-level. As for courses: SANS FOR500 (Windows forensics) - an absolute classic (admittedly pricey but worth it) Magnet Forensics (AXIOM) courses 13Cubed (good materials and lots of free stuff to get you started) if you want to get serious about this and have a high budget irecommend -> SANS + GCFA. and if youre on a budget -> GCFE + Magnet AXIOM. RE: Digital forensics - Vladimir_Belyakov - Jul 21, 2026 Thanks a lot. I’ve heard a lot of good things about GIAC. I’m thinking I’ll take the GCFE exam at some point. RE: Digital forensics - TooBuck - Jul 31, 2026 The resources provided from the above users are great. Huge vouch for SANS on my part. If you're looking for hands-on help from forensic veterans and novice students alike, I would check out forensicfocus.com You can connect with other folks there, there are articles, newsletters, videos, etc. Its a multipurpose area of digital forensics activity. Very useful imo. |
