Quick guide: Bypassing basic SSL pinning for local app traffic analysis - psycheuser - Aug 26, 2026 Hey everyone. If you are doing mobile app pentesting and struggling with SSL pinning blocking your proxy, here is a quick, reliable way I use to bypass it during assessments without breaking a sweat: Grab the APK: Pull the target application package from the device using adb pull. Decompile & Patch: Use apktool to unpack it, inject your network security config override or use automated tools like Objection / Frida if you are dealing with runtime pinning. Repack & Sign: Rebuild the APK, sign it with a custom debug keystore, and push it back to your test device. It saves a lot of time compared to manually hooking every single function. What methods do you guys usually rely on for stubborn apps? Let's discuss in the replies. |
