🚨 CONSUMER WARNING — RANSOMHUB / DEBT-SETTLEMENT DATA EXPOSURE
Moderator note: This post is being shared as part of a consumer-awareness initiative, not as a spam, advertising, or promotional campaign. The purpose is to help potentially affected consumers identify the issue, verify whether their information was involved, and know where to seek answers.
Information connected to a RansomHub-related compromise affecting organizations within the U.S. debt-settlement and financial-services ecosystem is continuing to surface across online sources.
The organizations appearing in the available material span debt-relief companies, legal-service providers, financial-service businesses and related entities. The current scope involves 30+ organizations and associated LLCs.
There are connections and overlapping relationships between multiple entities in the ecosystem, raising concerns that access obtained through one organization may have provided visibility into information associated with other connected organizations.
⚠️ IF YOU MAY HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER
Contact the organization and ask, in writing:
• Was the organization affected by a cybersecurity incident or unauthorized access?
• Was customer information accessed, copied, or exposed?
• What categories of personal or financial information were involved?
• Was my information included?
• When was the incident discovered?
• When were affected customers notified?
Keep copies of all responses and notifications.
If you believe you were affected or were not properly informed, you may also consider contacting your state Attorney General, the FTC, BBB, or another appropriate regulator.
