the future is grim. - Phantom_NiNja - Sep 7, 2026 I think the future is grim. AI is automating everything. This results in most jobs instead of doing the work they will now check the work of AI. This is going to be a massive problem. Why? you might think oh that's cool so we won't work hard. We will just manage the AI on it's work. That is cool until you realize in the U.S.A many kids cannot do basic math. Most are using AI to cheat on their work. I know many right now that have a 4.0 GPA because they use AI to do it's work. The kid doesn't actually learn anything. They have AI do the work then they game all day behind their parents back. Now, the future requires you to master a professional skills to the point that you will on day one manage an AI's work. Now it will work until the AI starts spitting out wrong crap. Then these kids will just stare ate it. I can see this coming down the pipeline. It's going to be insane. I already hear doctors don't know what the medications does or how it works. Just that it's design to make the symptoms bearable. I no longer trust the medical field after they killed my mom and then brought her back to life... and having a long about 3 months going back and forth with the doctors about how her heart medications are too strong which is causing severe low blood pressure. Like theydidn't know 80 over 45 is a dangerously low blood pressure. It's common sense and even AI knew more about it than an actual licensed MD doctor. I lost faith in the medical systems. RE: the future is grim. - diablospartan - Sep 8, 2026 Yea we dont realize but i think with the rise of AI it start the beginning of our destruction Luckily for me its i have almost 40 years so not much left om this earth But i am sad thinking for young generations that will live like in sci fi movies with no life at all RE: the future is grim. - Rahul007rhp - Sep 8, 2026 I agree , already could see AI taking all the digitals jobs. RE: the future is grim. - junooo - Sep 8, 2026 It's not difficult to fully convince yourself that there is nothing left to care about. It's easy to fall into the hands of very nihilistic ideology. But remember that if nothing that we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. Just think what the governments are doing with AI right now. Everything they won't let us do, including ways of wiping out the maximum populations in war zones. AI is going to be the biggest propaganda machine ever before seen on earth. Pretty soon as won't be able to tell what is true and what isn't because everything can be manipulated, including videos. Well said, you speak like a real philosopher. 😺 RE: the future is grim. - Respect - Sep 9, 2026 Technology will always keep evolving. I don't see a reason to be fearful of it, Fax salesman felt the same about the internet and email. Society will adjust and be better for it in the end RE: the future is grim. - Phantom_NiNja - Sep 9, 2026 (Sep 9, 2026 01:19 AM)Respect Wrote: Technology will always keep evolving. The problem is that the math ain't mathing. Every year prices keep going up. Most countries like the U.S.A keeps borrowing money. As they do this prices of everything keeps going up. The wages however, are going down or staying the same but it requires more out of you. Companies would love to make you work 12 hour days. The city I live in are redoing so much roads. There's so much people borrowing money from banks to build not buildings. We got so many apartment complex being built. About 4 ISP's just laid fiber in the back yard. The prices for that are insane. The car prices are going up. The property taxes will go up because of all this development. I don't have a job but have 3 businesses. I have 2 bach degrees in accounting and finance. Working on making my 4th business to do peoples taxes. I just don't see how all this is going to work if the whole system pressures you to keep doing more. You need to get more jobs or do contract work. I mean they're making us work harder and longer to just make the current math work. However, there's a limit. There's only 24 hours in a given day. So, if the answer is just work 3 or 4 full time jobs. How would that work? Or invest and just own a business and hire people and make money that way. The current system and the future system is pressuring you to work more. You might have 1 or 2 jobs. You might need to own a business or two. If people can't own a business they will end up poor and broke. My point is that the expenses you have now is not going to go down. It's only going in one direction and that is up and it's normally by 5%. Or whatever ends up being the inflation rate. My point is that I don't see how this system is going to work. The future just to exist you need to work 2 jobs and the rest you have to keep buying businesses or buying stock. You need to make money elsewhere and have like 20 different sources of income. That is what I am seeing. RE: the future is grim. - XtremeDiscount - Sep 10, 2026 I think AI is going to make people way more productive, but you're right about the downside. If you use AI to replace learning instead of helping you learn, eventually you're going to be responsible for checking work you don't even understand 😂 AI is an amazing tool, but you still need to know enough to recognize when it's confidently feeding you complete bullshit. RE: the future is grim. - Sift - Sep 10, 2026 To be honest AI’s only dangerous in the hands of the wrong people. People can cheat through school but it will not get them far in life if everyone else is doing it too. I think it's impossible for every doctor to know everything about all medication, but I do think most will do their research before doing anything risky. Their careers and lives depend on it for the most part :P Out of curiosity, are the doctors you worked with based out of the US? Idk the story of your mom but I am sorry to hear that bro. |
