Attachments Disabled - Omniscient - Sep 18, 2026
MyBB has an update. Lots of security fixes are required. Unfortunately, I have to disabled attachments for a few days while I access the changes required and how I want to approach it. We're so far from branch and not all their patch updates work with our version.
Please be patient while I get this done.

Enabled again.
I was away for 2 nights and couldn't work on this.
I still have a ton of testing and work to do because MyBB did an update and I saw it an hour before i was scheduled to leave. Rather inconvenient.

Have you ever planned to move HF from mybb to anyother platform ? BTW thinking to test the mybb new update/features on random domain and on hosting.

Not really. Sometimes I'll do thought-experiments about it. The work necessary to change HF's backend would require massive effort. We're 19 years of code.
It's nearly 500k lines of code and that doesn't count the templates in the database.
I assume those who aren't coders believe I can run some type of MyBB->XenForo conversion script that would move us to another platform with a few clicks. While that's possible to do, it would mean we'd lose every bit of customizing HF has. And XF for example is still PHP so what would be the benefit?
All the NodeJS forum software available are completely barebones.
Whatever features any other platform has, I can replicate for MyBB if I want it.

I agree it will be pain in the ass if you shift HF big db to anyother platform.

Yeah, it is very sad to see, Discord really fucked over a lot of Forums because le' edgy IMs are so good. Such a shame so many communites have been torn apart by it, and just moved on. So much knowledge is lost in the name of getting that IM sent so quickly.

Agreed. Also mybb db size gets soo big so every owner have to buy good hosting/vps that cost alot.
