I understand why HF has an anti lurking policy but it states the fact it's there to stop bots.. I've had multiple 'need to verify I'm not a bot' messages which I've done countless times. I've now been hit with a 24 hour restriction unless I pay to bypass this..
I've actively been posting threads and comments since I joined, I've received some popularity because of my comments, yet I've been hit with a restriction because apparently I'm a lurking bot?

It's unfortunate but necessary.
Eventually with enough post activity you'll get past the lurker message. Suggest you keep posting for now.
