Convo Returning - Omniscient - Oct 3, 2026
If the attempt to integrate the 3rd party app Chatwee into HF has taught me anything, it's that Convo was awesome. Just a few hours dealing with Chatwee has shown the value of HF's proprietary solution of Convo. It ran on our servers, it was our code, I could alter it in any way I wanted. It worked perfectly fine.
So if there was any doubt before about Convo returning, you can stop worrying. It's coming back. I already miss it greatly.
And yes, it might be a few weeks.

It'll be worth the wait! But in the meantime, this temp solution (with the new CSS changes 🤣) is definitely workable.
Good work so far Omni mate, just gotta keep on trucking and eventually, it'll all be done!

Glad to hear. Old convo was truly great, greatest was always the Apple / IOS convo,,,
Clean as hell.
Would love to see that around somehow.

While that's a nice offer. Convo is not just a plugin file. It's js files, NPMs, websocket, nginx conf changes, db tables, and a ton of templates. It's a customized integrated system that's easily the most complex feature for HF. It touches many other plugins too.
The Chatwee is just temporary. If it's hated that much, I can just delete it and we'll have no live chat until I can fix Convo.

Fine, I zipped up the necessary Convo files that need the updating. I'll share with a couple members. Let them go and fix if it they think it's so easy.
