How to find the IP address of a specific mail server? - BurgerDiplo - Oct 6, 2026 Hi guys, More precisely, I'm looking for an accurate and reliable way to determine the IP address of a specific mail server protected by mailhop.org. Note: If you're unfamiliar with the subject or don't have anything constructive to contribute, please refrain from commenting on this thread. Thanks. RE: How to find the IP address of a specific mail server? - DramaKing - Oct 6, 2026 Never heard of it, but I highly doubt that anyone else who sees this will have either. What I do know is how the service (and email relays in general) operate. You send the emails to outbound.mailhop.org instead of myemail.com. Emails never pass through a mail server for myemail.com. The destination server sees that the email was sent from myemail.com and verifies that Mailhop is an authorized sender for that domain by checking a SPF record. If there is an MX record for myemail.com, then you have the origin mail server. If not, then there's no doubt that an origin mail server does not exist. Mailhop would be the only mail server in that case.
