RE: Is 2026 one of the best years for horror movies? - Th3HulK - Oct 17, 2026 I think you might be looking at it through rose-tinted glasses, but I get the hype. 2026 has definitely had a lot of variety. You listed Resident Evil though, did you actually like that one? I felt like it was a bit of a mess, even for a video game adaptation. Scream 7 was solid, but it felt a bit safe compared to the last two. For my list this year, Weapons was easily the best one I saw, the whole mystery and the way it flipped between timelines was insane. Sinners was also a great time. RE: Is 2026 one of the best years for horror movies? - Jinu - Oct 17, 2026 The variety is the part I'd agree with most. A lot of your list is sequels and reboots, though, so I'm curious whether the original stuff or the franchise entries are doing the heavy lifting for you. Of the ones you're about to start, Crystal Lake feels like the one most likely to split people. I just feel like there's been so many horror movies/series this year. I never noticed this many in a really long time lol RE: Is 2026 one of the best years for horror movies? - Yin Yang - Oct 19, 2026 It's been pretty solid. Other mommy was meh, knew what I was getting into RE: Is 2026 one of the best years for horror movies? - Pimping - Oct 19, 2026 (Oct 19, 2026 10:21 AM)Yin Yang Wrote: It's been pretty solid. Scream 7, Ice Cream Man, Obsession, Buddy… all mid to me. Resident Evil and Backrooms are the only ones that actually hit. Rest of the year felt pretty weak. I’m more of a Conjuring/Annabelle type guy, so most of this year’s stuff didn’t really click for me. |
