Tether Payment Support - Omniscient - Oct 16, 2026
I get plenty of requests to pay invoices with Tether. People seemed surprised we don't accept it. I looked into a few options and settled with Plisio for processing. Solutions for doing it other ways weren't optimal.
I have it working for Features. I'll be adding Support for the rest of the invoice purchases over the next 24 hours.
Currently with Plisio we've added these options:
Tron
BSC
ETH
SOL
Tether (TRON, BSC, ETH, and SOL networks)

Told you Plisio was interesting for HF!
NowPayments is also a very good fit imo, single gateway. But 0 selfhosting unless you get your own nodes at ChangeNOW.

I didn't even know that HF didn't have an option to pay with Tether to be honest, but I can see how many people want this. Nice addition.

I almost did Nowpayments except it looks like they technically aren't doing US customers. It's one of those "at your own risk" things. They also immediately now do KYC with Subsum.
We'll see how long Plisio stays online. If they go down. I may have to create a custom solution. At least for now I'm able to gauge the Tether payment data and if this is worth it.

BTC,LTC, and XMR are on the BTCpay server but there is also a FixedFloat (swap site) option. Unfortunately FF does block some markets and in those cases the plugin simply doesn't load a payment page, it doesn't provide an error.
Taking Tether directly without swaps should make it easier for members.

I'd just enable the other coins for Plisio as well and just call it Other coins instead of just tether SOL and ETH have good cash flow and you can swap them in Plisio dashboard.
1 thing with Plisio, or 2 things actually; Between 5 and 10 outages this year, short outages with the longest being 1 hour. And this year their support chat system got penetrated by hackers but, it's a isolated service so no great harm other than some phishing spam was being sent out trough their CS system.
