[FINISHED][TUT] Custom Themes (GUI)[VB.NET][UPDATED] - Obi-Wan Cannabis - Sep 9, 2010 What will you learn? In this tutorial i'm gonna show you three methods of using custom themes on your applications! π Method 1 - DotNetBar Method 2 - Custom Themes (Aeonhack themes) Method 3 - Create your own theme on photoshop and use it on you application. Method 1 Step 1) Download and install DotNetBar here. Step 2) Patch the program (so the trial will become full). Step 3) On your toolbox are now new controls for your applications. β Method 2 Step 1) Go here and here (Fusion - New Theme). Step 2) Download the themes from there. Step 3) Install them on your app. Step 4) Enjoy your new themes. β Method 3 Step 1) Create an image on Photoshop (GUI). Step 2) Put the image in the background of the form. Step 3) Add a timer to your form and make sure its enabled=false and interval=1 or 2. Step 4) Create a Private Sub called Theme and write this on: Code AppLocation = Me.LocationStep 4) Add the folowing code to your app now: Code Dim AppLocation, CurLocation As New Point(0, 0)Step 5) Add now three labels (nameofapp, X and - / to close and minimize the form) Step 6) Add this code to form1_load: Code Label1.Parent = PictureBox1And add this code: Code Private Sub Label1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)Step 7) Test your application. And you just created a theme! Congratulations! β Sorry for posting before finish! It was an accident! :( But now the thread is updated! =D * - zyvox - Sep 9, 2010 In method 3, the code for move form around is very complicated. It's an alott easier code (just one function or something) that can do it. Umm and yeah... Maybe add it to a picture box or anything at the top of the form. Else, good tut. * - Obi-Wan Cannabis - Sep 9, 2010 (Sep 9, 2010 06:56 AM)wrseb Wrote: In method 3, the code for move form around is very complicated. But the code is not that hard to understand. π * - woodo - Sep 9, 2010 Why do you have a timer in method 3? Code Dim Point As New System.Drawing.Point() * - zyvox - Sep 9, 2010 ^Yeah there it is that code lol. And I wasn't pointing at the code wass hard to understand, but its so long and needs a private sub, mouse up, mouse down and stuff :p Easier with that one woodo posted. * - Obi-Wan Cannabis - Sep 9, 2010 Probably it wouldn't need the timer... xD But that's the code I use on my apps! * - Obi-Wan Cannabis - Sep 9, 2010 Keeping this alive! ^^) LOL * - -na.Talish - Sep 9, 2010 This has been made 100 times before, I know your just trying to contribute and help out but try using the search before posting. * - S!rk0 - Sep 9, 2010 Nice post but you need to update with new theme (Custom Theme) and with a pack with a lot of PSD and their Fonts ... * - Obi-Wan Cannabis - Sep 9, 2010 (Sep 9, 2010 10:04 AM)Talish Wrote: This has been made 100 times before, I know your just trying to contribute and help out but try using the search before posting. sorry about that...π€¦ββπ€¦ββπ€¦ββ (Sep 9, 2010 10:07 AM)S!rk0 Wrote: Nice post but you need to update with new theme (Custom Theme) and with a pack with a lot of PSD and their Fonts ... thanks for your comment! π * - -na.Talish - Sep 9, 2010 (Sep 9, 2010 10:11 AM)MrJonnyHacker Wrote: sorry about that...π€¦ββπ€¦ββπ€¦ββHeh, no need to be sorry bro.
