Connection Issues - DООM! - Sep 18, 2010 Over the last 2 days, I haven't been able to connect to Hackforums from my Main PC at all. I read the help documents, but they were not able to help me at all, I also read Malware Boss' post but that also was not able to help me. Basically I am having issues connecting to HackForums. This problem has been occurring for the last two days. I have read all the Help Docs, but they have not been of any help for this issue. I was told I am not FireWalled as I can still connect to HF from my laptop, just not my main PC. I have also reset my connection and my IP address just now, and the error is still occurring with the new IP address. When I try to connect from my own connection, it just shows the page as constantly loading. I get no error messages, just a blank white page that is loading indefinitely, I left it go for 15 minutes with no change. When I use my VPN to connect (nVPN.net) HackForums load, but with no color, and I cant switch tabs. The Elite suggested that I may be having issues connecting to the Image Server and to PM Omni, or he either overlooked this part of the question or is busy because he didn't mention it in his reply. He did state that my IP isn't Firewalled though. This is what I see when Loading from my VPN: Large Image Spoiler (Click to View) Edit: I have also cleared any and all files from both FireFox and Internet Explorer. I also ran CCleaner on all of my temporary files and a few other locations on my computer. I also checked the list at C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/Etc/Hosts.file. I didn't see HackForums.net on the list. * - Crayo - Sep 18, 2010 We recommend you take the time to read the HF Help Documents section. The answer to your questions should be contained in there. Don't think you need a thread. * - The Elite - Sep 18, 2010 No, a firewall blocks a connecting IP address, meaning if you can access it from your laptop, it should work on your computer. Have you tried clearing your cache or stored files? If on Firefox, go to: Tools > Clear Private Data > Clear them all (Sep 18, 2010 04:18 PM)Crayo Wrote: We recommend you take the time to read the HF Help Documents section. Please read the official post before posting a reply which offers no assistance whatsoever. * - DООM! - Sep 18, 2010 (Sep 18, 2010 04:18 PM)Crayo Wrote: We recommend you take the time to read the HF Help Documents section. I thought I cleared it already but I'll try again The Elite, then I'll let you know. * - The Elite - Sep 18, 2010 Okay, good luck. If you need any further assistance, please just ask. :) * - DООM! - Sep 18, 2010 I just did what you said, no luck, ran CCleaner on Firefox afterwards, still no luck. I'll hit you up on MSN. * - The Elite - Sep 18, 2010 Your problem is extremely odd, the image server is most likely having trouble connecting to you. * - DООM! - Sep 18, 2010 Just reset my connection, new IP etc, still can't connect. * - Nukka - Sep 18, 2010 that happen to me for a week, i tryed clearing my cookies and everything it didnt work, the only thing i found to work was a new ip soo * - DООM! - Sep 18, 2010 Changing my IP didn't work, thanks though. I updated OP with what I have tried so far. * - Omniscient - Sep 18, 2010 If changing your IP doesn't work then your either banned in a string (cidr block) or you have a hosts problem. Could also be the DNS you're served by your host. * - DООM! - Sep 18, 2010 (Sep 18, 2010 07:59 PM)Omniscient Wrote: If changing your IP doesn't work then your either banned in a string (cidr block) or you have a hosts problem. Only thing though, wouldn't the host issue be affecting my laptop too? * - DООM! - Sep 19, 2010 Not sure why, but the first time I reformatted nothing happened, but the 2nd time I did I can connect again.
