[TUT] Crack School Admins, Get on School Wifi, & Bypass Web Filters (WEP Protected) - Grimskulls - Sep 24, 2010
This is my first tutorial, so bear with me. (This is written for Windows 7)
Things you will need:
Ophcrack Live CD - http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/
Physical Access to School Computer connected to wifi network
VPN - http://vpntool.com/ (register for free account, located in france)
1. Find a computer, preferably a schools laptop (desktop will work if it connects to internet via wifi) that is already setup to connect to their wifi with WEP encrpytion.
2. Insert Ophcrack Live CD into disc drive, and boot from cd. (If you don't know how to do this, google: how to boot from live cd)
3. Let the live cd run, and ophcrack linux will load up. Once it loads it'll begin cracking user accounts on that computer (not school domain). If you're lucky, the tech admin at your school will have a simple password to an account that has administrator access (you need admin access or this will not work!).
4. Once ophcrack cracks the LM hash for an account with administrator privileges, write the account name and password somewhere. Restart and remove disc. Let computer boot up normally. (mine was techhelp:twister)
5. Most schools will have Windows Server setup, some sort of login like this, windows 7 is a bit different:

Like that ^, click the drop down arrow and change it to "Log into this computer" and not the schools domain. (With the account you cracked earlier obviously)
6. Once you're in with the account with administrator access, Go to Start > Connect To > Show All Connections
7. Right click on Wireless Network Connection, and select Properties.
8. Click on the advanced tab and it should show some information about the encryption with a wep key box that has black dots or asterisks(*), there should be a check box that says show key or whatever (on windows 7 it does) and check it. The wireless key will now be visible. My schools wep key has like 20 characters but it works.
9. You have successfully obtained the schools WEP key, but yet web filters are still active since you are on their network.
10. To bypass web filters, install the downloaded VPN client from above, login with the registered information it gave you from their website. Once connection is made, freely browse any website! (You can use other VPN's, the one I provided is free and worked for me, also if you have connection issues with the VPN, try restarting pc after installing and re-connect to vpn under administrator account).

Please keep your opinions to yourself, if this tutorial doesn't concern to you or your school does not have windows server installed, just simply don't post. That's all I ask, its for members whose schools do use windows servers.

Than you can skip the steps requiring the wep key, but to bypass filters you'll need to still crack an admin account (to be able to install vpn network). Connect to internet (wifi or LAN) and use the VPN to bypass filters.

only one question in my school we got like mini computers with no CD output do it work with USB or just download it from computer and start it up?

Theres a windows installer that you can download on their computers but I highly recommend you download the live cd iso and format it to a usb stick (2 or 4 gb would work). Use the search function, or google. Theres plenty of tutorials on how to do that.

my previous school's WiFi didn't have a password, but whenever I connected to it on my iTouch it would act as if I never connected to anything, I restarted iTouch, tried again, etc, nothing lol. Maybe they just have a fucked up network or something.

Proof? I never seen a tutorial like this besides the same steps of cracking admin account, which everyone would know if they used ophcrack.
