Disabling internet to selected individuals - godlykilla - Oct 4, 2010 I was wondering if there was a way to block internet only to my sister. I want to block wireless connection to my sister's laptop, but not to the other computers within my household. The modem and wireless router are both in my room. Everyone in my family is connected via the wireless router, I'm the only one connected to the router by an ethernet cable. So is there a way to block only my sister's internet? Please and thank you :). Even if you can't help me, thank you for reading through this :D * - Aeon8 - Oct 4, 2010 If your router supports MAC address filtering yes you can block specific pcs from connecting to the router. * - godlykilla - Oct 4, 2010 Yes it does! :D can you point me toward the right direction in googling a guide for this? o-o...its quite hard to google this because it's kind of a broad question. * - Aeon8 - Oct 4, 2010 First you have to find the mac address then you simply add an entry to deny that mac address. You can google your routers name/model and mac filtering e.g.: befsr41v mac filtering But it's usually pretty simple for residential routers, as in simply adding the mac address to the list and thats it. |
