█▓▒░►Folder Hider and Encryption![RELEASE] N3w_2_H@Ck1n™ Inspired - Xerotic - Oct 18, 2010

NOW OPEN-SOURCE!

Hey guys! Sparked by N3w_2_H@Ck1n™'s unfortunate loss while trying to hide important folders (using 3rd-party software), I decided to make my own! There are TWO version of this. One for users with Python and one for those without (go get it, seriously, get Python HERE) 😁

Anyway, what this does is hides folders and password protects them as well. There is also a function that destroys all files related to the program, if you want to scrap it. The first version was made in batch, and it worked well for N3w_2_H@Ck1n™, but I improved it greatly, bringing Python into it. 🤝

Okay, here is the download location for the PYTHON file (recommended, if you dont have Python, again, get it HERE, the program is so much better in python version...). Also, if using this source for a basis in your program, please give credits. Ask for permission before releasing elsewhere.

Download for the .exe filepack (for Python exe's, you need some dll's with it... blah, thats why you should download Python!)

Sorry if that's noobish but it's just something I ain't familiar with and I am really looking for a program that will hide and protect folders at this present time...

Python is a programming language, one of the most powerful out there, however, in Python form, it requires the Python interpreter.

It is all command line, therefore no GUI. I am thinking about making a GUI for it though.

I am also posting a poll for you to tell me what you think. Thanks for your time, do not forget to leave a comment!👍

Nevertheless, awesome program, great coding.

It is a very simple to use program - Hide, Show and Destroy. When you hide a file, you lock it with a password, and to recover the file, you need only to type it in.

The program works quickly and efficiently with a strong encryption, and is something I will use often!

Another great program Xerotic! Kudos to you!

Its all simple command line. Want a picture of a black box? Or of a hidden folder (blank space).

I can do both :)

Haha thanks. I was deciding whether or not to release as a py file or pyc. Decided releasing the source couldnt be too bad.

Next time you start a new python project please shoot me a PM I'd love to help.

.pyc didn't run for me :/

.py was fine. I use 2.7, and the source compiled fine, but the compiled code was dodgy - Maybe different version compilation or something.
