First DBZ and now Cowboy Bebop??? - Polymath - May 9, 2009
Unfortunately I have read that not only do they apparently feel good for fucking up our visions of a great anime series they feel they must continue with the destruction... Next up on the list of live action anime remakes is Cowboy Bebop with Keanu Reeves as Spike Spiegel! WTF? FAIL... I don't think the style of this anime can even be recreated with live action although it's not like DBZ could be recreated either...

Yea ill go see both of them but i dont thing they can make them into real movies, first off most animes are to fictional and just the fight scenes wont have the same feel. DBZ will look to fake and they can reenact the way spike fights in real life

Cowboy Bebop is my all time fav I sure as hell won't be watching the live action... Spike was a sarcastic ass which is something Keanu Reeves has never been good at plus he looks nothing like spike... And just think about how much they are going to fuck up Jet with his arm and such...

I liked the DBZ live action movie (I know shocked much lol). The only way you can actually like it though is if you watch it from the perspective of "Just a movie". By that i mean Forget it is a remake of an anime and think of it as a movie like Fast and furious or something.
Because if you watch it from the perspective that it was an anime remake then you notice way to many problems with it. Heres a few i noticed:
- Right at the start of the movie they said that Piccolo came to earth thousands of years ago with oozaru (The great ape the saiyans transform into when they look at the full moon). Thats definately not right.
- Piccolo kills Gohan. In dragonball Goku killed him.
- Bulmas wish wasnt to be famous, it was for the perfect boyfriend. Same with Yamcha He didnt wish for money he wished for the perfect girlfriend.
Thats just a few but theres alot more. But it did have its moments. I laughed a few times through the movie lol.
But yeah, If you watch from from a different perspective they are good unless they did a really bad job on it lol.
I cant imagine how they would remake Cowboy Bebop Though. It would probably end up looking like star wars/trek.

dammit. i really hope this doesnt go too terribly. well...it will. there is almost no way this can turn out well. i wish i could look at if as if it wasnt an anime re-make but i cant.
not sure if ppl will consider it but the same thing is happening to Avatar: The Last Airbender...cartoon or anime its still really good. its going live action and ppl already protested for things that have been messed up.
i hope bebop isnt wrecked and turned to trash because of this

i like cowboy bebop also, but im still going to see the live action the minute it comes out, if i dont like it, its not like im going to think about cowboy bebop any worse

I couldn't like it as much because i kept noticing things like this.
I was really hoping they could pull it off but....no, they didn't.

They apparently tried to recreate Bebop in 2003 but it was scrapped... Cameron Diaz was supposet to play Fey but she looked like shit! lol

really? never knew. this time it will probably not get scrapped. i remember like 9 years ago was when i first heard of live action dragonball. maybe it was a rumor or maybe it was a project that got scrapped. i started watching the leaked version and just couldnt enjoy it.
