[VB.NET] RC2 Encryption - Generates random key [Source] - d3c0mpil3r - Oct 22, 2010

RC2 Encryption

Yesterday I was browsing Cryptography namespace... and took a look at RC2 Symmetric Algorithm. (RC2 Class)

So after reading about it, I was able to write this RC2 class....

If generates a new random key and initialization vector on every time you encrypt. So the output comes out to be different each time you encrypt using it.

Declarations and Functions :

Encrypt and Decrypt :

And If you don't want to type and just C&P....
Here : Pastebin

Enjoy!

Looks great bro. :D looks like something to learn from if you like VB.NET

Nice work but RC2 isn't very secure as far as I know . There are better alternatives

egain one secure encryptions :) thanks bro .
test this .

Ive been doing this for ages with xor and other encryption methods. Random Key->Write key to bot -> Write encrypted data to bot.

Good to know It can be done in Rc2

RC2 and DES are vulnerable to decryption, you should stick with AES or TripleDES which should both still support the GenerateKey method. :]

hey bro,

whats the strong encryptions you recommanded now for actual crypter ?

thanks .

AES hands down, it's fast and very strong.

Wow , this is some nice encryption . Thanks man !

Np, you should also take a look at the salted RC2 example here
