Having Connection Problems? - Omniscient - Nov 28, 2010

Use Google DNS.

If you stopped having access today then it's likely you have DNS problems. We changed DNS service this morning because of a problem. I strongly advise you use Google DNS anyways as it's fast and reliable. More so than your ISP or OpenDNS.

Best option is to set your router to use Google DNS then do a system reboot so that your own computer will reset it's settings.

I never had a problem with my DNS so I was on all day, but Thoth was having it >.<

I use OpenDNS and was having problems so will try this.

* - Electronical - Nov 28, 2010

Alright, I've had some problems with connecting and I still have, but I'll just use Google DNS then.

Thank you very much, this solved all of my problems.

TRRS was having this problem. I'll be sure to link him to that when he wakes up.

All is fine here, no need to use Google DNS.

* - Shannon R. - Nov 28, 2010

Everything is fine for me also. I am happy about that.

* - Omniscient - Nov 28, 2010

Also if you're trying one of these and it's not working try the other.

Thanks for this, managed to reset my DNS settings to the default Google ones, site appears to be running much smoother without that connection error. Couldn't view the site for a good 12 hours even after unplugging my router and wireless.

Yeah, I had this problem aswell. I didn't even think it was an issue, a router reset worked for me. :P
