Best to use registry system then the user can not accidentally delete it. if you want i can show you examples of how to add to the registry, read, edit and delete. Thanks * - PapaBeans - Sep 7, 2014 (Sep 7, 2014 02:03 AM)System[X] Wrote: How local ? a .txt file ? Stores it in a "file" file. To Create the Key\Sub Key Code My.Computer.Registry.CurrentUser.CreateSubKey("NameOfTool\Whatever")To add an item Code My.Computer.Registry.SetValue("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\NameOfTool\Whatever", "name", "value")To List them Code Dim ListIt() As String = My.Computer.Registry.CurrentUser.OpenSubKey("NameOfTool\Whatever").GetValueNamesTo delete an item Code Dim regKey As Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey = My.Computer.Registry.CurrentUser.OpenSubKey("NameOfTool\Whatever", True)To check to see if its worked just run Regedit tool(start menu then either run or search "regedit") Hope it helps. Possibly releasing a Client Server template (Advanced with threading) * - HFTetramorph - Sep 11, 2014 Its a really simple program but it has a good and extremely helpful use. Thanks for the release! * - MAXUSdev - Sep 12, 2014 Omg this is so handy for other reasons too thanks man * - Zeivu~ - Oct 6, 2014 I really like Code Manager I know its for codes but I use it for my passwords :P * - Hawk HF - Oct 7, 2014 (Oct 6, 2014 05:15 PM)LetsGetTheir Wrote: I really like Code Manager I know its for codes That's probably not a good idea. I haven't used CodeManager yet, but there's a good chance that the code (or passwords in your case) are stored as plain text, seeing as there's no real need to encode/decode source codes on a private computer. * - Michael J. Scofield - Oct 7, 2014 the download link doesnt work anymore :( * - SIM-1456245 - Oct 8, 2014 (Sep 6, 2014 04:21 PM)System[X] Wrote: Here is the one i made a couple years ago and took around an hour to code. Kiddin'? The registry not for kind data. You aren't supposed to flood it with those kind of data chunks. * - TheBarret - Oct 8, 2014 (Oct 7, 2014 08:19 AM)Hawk HF Wrote: That's probably not a good idea. Lets be honest, any program from HF thats for security or protection is 90% very doubtfull. I rather make it myself ^^ |
