It did not work for me at first. So enter billing info and than change your region to USA and it should work.

Of course it still works.
There is a service alert for the Xbox website and Core Live services at the moment, so if you are having difficulty right now, that is probably why.

Ahhh ok that make sense now lol, As soon as i enter the code for the security thing i get the "Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened. It appears you've found a glitch in the system. Please try again later." on the next page, ill try again later hopefully they fix the servers!

This method is not new and works best if you are on the Xbox One as it uses the Share Gold feature. The method is free, whitehat and has been shared on the forum in the past.
This method will only allow you to make free 1 month accounts. If you are on Xbox 360, you can only use this one time per account. If you are on Xbox One this method will allow you to have unlimited gold (1 month subscriptions) on your main account, but you will need to make a new account every month. Some people may find this annoying, but hopefully it will help some of you guys out there.
1) Make a new account at www.xbox.com.
2) Use this link to sign up for a free 1 month of gold.*
3) On the Xbox website, go to My Account, then Subscriptions and turn off Auto Renewal.
4) Sign in to your new account on your Xbox One.
5) Go to Settings and set your Xbox as your Home Xbox.
6) Repeat steps 1-5 when your subscription runs out.
*To use the offer, you have to enter billing information. You can either enter your personal billing, or use fake information. Either way, no charges will be made as you will turn off auto renewal once done. If you use your personal credit card, I believe it will only let you make 5 accounts as Microsoft have a safety measure to only allow 1 credit card on x amount of accounts. The offer can only be redeemed 1 time.

No, you can attach your Paypal account to 5 xbox accounts I think, I have mine on 4 accounts on my xbox.
Also guys from November 20 through November 30, all non-Gold subscribers can get a one-month subscription for $1, this is so you can access the black friday sales.

Yeah the same billing rule applies to PayPal - 5 accounts.

Thanks for clearing that up, bud. Hopefully still working in 2017 when I need it. Stacked up a few XBL Gold codes when they were cheap.
