RE: Does the average income of Americans are high? - West Coast Ghost - Jun 15, 2018 Here's this for something to think about. I make about $5000 a month, but it also costs $2000 a month for a 3 bedroom apartment not including utilities, I pay $4+ for a gallon of gas and also vehicle fees are pretty high. Meanwhile, at the same time, a Chinese person may make $500 (in terms of USD) a month, and it only costs him $100 for rent, leaving him $400 for whatever he wants. While West Coast does seemingly make more money, he also has higher expensives. You are quite right. China is indeed the status quo for most people. (Jun 15, 2018 05:46 PM)West Coast Ghost Wrote: Here's this for something to think about. A newly graduated university student in China will have a monthly salary of 6000 RMB. My wife is from Chongqing. We travel from the U.S. to China just about every year to visit family and friends. To this day 12 years of marriage i still get my wife saying things are to expensive in the U.S. This is because she always compares u.s. dollars to RMB. 1-6 conversion rate. What might be expensive to her is cheap for myself and vise versa. It all depends if we're in the U.S or in china. For myself it's very cheap for me while in China. Now on the other hand my wife works here in the U.S. and still does that conversion of money. Her weekly take home pay here in the U.S is about 550$ a week. A 1-6 conversion rate would be 3300$ RMB a week in China. Now this the Wife likes very much. For example, working in the U.S. for 36,000 U.S. dollars a year, or 198,000 RMB dollars in China, it is very good for Chinese families. It may be nothing in the United States,So the Chinese are willing to compare the U.S. dollar RE: Does the average income of Americans are high? - Fours4 - Jun 15, 2018 Well I dunno about prices in China, but in the UK, I make around £2000 a month, house and bills is around £800, vehicle insurance for me is around £200, so that is half of my monthly salary alone, how about in China? In the same way, only China’s average wage is not so high. The monthly salary is about 300 to 500 pounds, and the rest is half. The monthly salary is about 300 to 500 pounds, and the rest is half.I guess actually living in each country is probably around the same cost of living, you might get 300 pounds a month, but your shopping per week might cost 10 pounds, where as in England you might make 1500 pounds, but your shopping is 50 pounds per week. But the cost is probably different when it comes to international costs, flying somewhere etc, in England it costs about £30-60 for a flight ticket anywhere around Europe, around £400 to America or China. RE: Does the average income of Americans are high? - jesuschristisfake - Jun 16, 2018 If you compare that to my country where the average salary is cca $800 (even less usually).
