Because the state system is different, the people in the eyes of the Chinese people have the same salary for one month, but the money is different. 1 dollars is equal to 6 yuan, is it equal to 6 times the wages of the Chinese people doing the same work, is that so?
You have to look at inflation of costs.. not just inflation and deflation of money across different currencies..

Compared to what? Easy is a relative term.

You have to compare it to something. Just by using some basic Google stats the average American household income is somewhere around $50,000. The average annual income for a Chinese worker is around $5,000 - $10,000. So yes, Americans are technically 'richer' on average but you have you take into account things like the cost of living and inflation.

You have to compare it from many many angles to make a conclusion.. From how much the local store is charging the consumers... to even how people are spending their money (in what way). its not as simple as you think. Hell even cultures are playing a role.
Americans may get more, but they might spend more also in many ways. Even the employees in america and china are acting different with their staff. Different laws, different standards, different expectations...etc

i could ask people in Africa the same question and most of the time i will get the same answer. This is happening because humans adapt... The more you have, the more you want and the more expectations you have. The less you have, the less you want.

The United States is in the evening and forgets the time difference. There are still many activists on the forum. This is the first time I’ve come to the US forum.
China has a wall. Usually we cannot see the U.S. world. We can only look at the VPN.

Activists. I haven't been to China but I could imagine from what I've read and seen from friends that have visited, it's nicer to live in the US. If you can learn English decently enough and can get to the US and whatever paperwork you need to live here, it'd probably be worth it. Shit, while you're still learning English or whatever you can work at Chinese food stores, they always have lots of workers that speak Chinese.
Being from the UK i get a decent wage but it is counteracted by the cost of living.
