This was literally the exact situation I was in 2 years ago. I had a great job that paid well, but my mental health was in the shitter. So I took a pay cut, or a big haircut if you prefer to look at it that way. I've never been happier, other than having to re-adjust my budget and spending habits.

To me salary is not a big deal. Good benefit, warm people, and what I can learn from job is more important

Depends on the context of life.
Currently I'm looking for a new job bcuz my boss underpays compared to the market, but whenever I might get kids, my mind might change.
