Ex: Member posts that they haven't received their upgrade yet, and a Mentor posts that it will take time, and closes the thread. * - Sparky - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:18 PM)Whizdom™ Wrote: Check page 1 for the userbar. All I see is Quote: Yeah could be something like a Veterans group but really it would serve a more profound purpose and have direction versus just simply handed out to people that have been here a long time. This would be more about knowing all the rules and understanding site policies. I'd have actual criteria and a test to join this group. No userbar. * - Fireren - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:20 PM)Braco22 Wrote: The userbar looks so friggin damn nice.I agree, looks sick. 😉 For everyone who can't find the Userbar [IMG]http://i42.[censored].com/2hxnewo.png[/IMG] * - Taserz - May 6, 2010 He should remove better chance of getting staff since that is just encouraging 50 more people to apply. * - Gonzo - May 6, 2010 I really like this idea. Hope you go through with it :) * - Braco Asshole - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:21 PM)camgaertner Wrote: Ex: Member posts that they haven't received their upgrade yet, and a Mentor posts that it will take time, and closes the thread.Perfect example. * - Sparky - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:21 PM)camgaertner Wrote: Ex: Member posts that they haven't received their upgrade yet, and a Mentor posts that it will take time, and closes the thread.I'm 99.9% sure Mentors won't be able to close threads. * - Sam Fisher - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:21 PM)Sparky Wrote: All I see isQuote: Yeah could be something like a Veterans group but really it would serve a more profound purpose and have direction versus just simply handed out to people that have been here a long time. Also, I don't think it would work, the current system is fine, if noobs can't find threads for themselves, making a new group isn't going to help. Also I think it's pretty clear who understands the rules and who doesn't. * - Fireren - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:22 PM)Taserz Wrote: He should remove better chance of getting staff since that is just encouraging 50 more people to apply.I agree. We want mentors that arn't doing it so they get something (Eg, Staff) we want mentors that are doing it for the community. If they eventually get staff, its because they contribute, perhaps being in the group gets you noticed. But it should not put you over other members greatly. * - Reece - May 6, 2010 (May 6, 2010 03:22 PM)Taserz Wrote: He should remove better chance of getting staff since that is just encouraging 50 more people to apply. I disagree. He is saying this would make a good start for you if you would someday like to be a Staff member. I agree with him. |
