I know a lot of work has gone into the plugin to make it not shitty. Thanks for the work, Omni; I think this is a pretty good addition to the forum.

Non invasive and works well. Been playing with different color schemes to see what fits best too.

I'm digging 1ec503 at the moment.

It does but it doesn't say what kind of rating they gave. It could be obvious if you saw what it was before though.

Great addition, however I find it real annoying that I receive an alert upon a PM. That is useless. I went to alert settings and unchecked it, but I feel like it should be unchecked by default since we already have a bar taking up a whole line horizontally to tell you that you have received a new PM.

Once we've seen the alerts, it should be greyed out, not always lit up.

Then when a new alert comes in, it would light up again.

Just a suggestion.

Sure is. Think you could make a module for on page editing the color? Then people could adjust at will till they find something they like.

Thank you for the addition of this feature. I understand why you do not like it, but the internet ecosystem has changed due to the massive influx of the social networking sites. It is not Bulletin Boards and IRC for virtual discussion, thus a generation grew up and still growing up in this new paradigm. It is better that we accept the change and adapt accordingly. I applaud you for adding this feature again. 🙂

Amazing feature, well done to the both of you.

However, I would like to request one change to the plugin.

Is it possible to get a more detailed time stamp? "Today" is not very specific.

And technically you can decide to disable the PM notification bar and use the My Alert.

You can click "Delete All Alerts" on the popup to do that. And right now it's functioning as-is stock install with no real customizations to the code.
