How to create a simple avatar in Photoshop CS5 | Novice Tutorial - Gоdly - Sep 13, 2011 THIS IS NOT GOOD WORK FOR ME THIS IS FOR PHOTOSHOP NOVICES ONLY! 1. Create a new project. 2. Pick a color. 3. Get the shape tool and pick square. 4. Make the square a little smaller than your actual size avatar shape. 5. Add some FX by right clicking the layer and going to blending options. 6. Add some text and add some effects to that. FINAL OUTCOME: This isn't the best but, it's good to start off with.
