Hello everyone, I'll explain how to protect your forum account even after you get hacker or compromised.
Things you need.
- A domain and hosting. (Optional)
- Mobile phone
- A brand new Gmail account.
- Book (Optional)
Using Gmail.
I reccomend you to create a Gmail account because it's safer and faster than any other email service. I've always had problems with getting reset passwords for Hotmail, and their support isn't good enough.
So let's get started by creating a Gmail account.
I hope you can do that by yourself. Now let's get to security part. :)
Using 2 Step verification.
After setting up the account, click here. It's security settings of your account.
Click this.

You get this screen.

Click on setup.
Enter you phone number, verify it.
You get an option to set your computer as trusted, so it wont ask you for mobile verification if you trust your computer.
It can be bad if you get ratted, so I recommend you to don't check it.

Okay you can use this email if you want, it's secure there is not worries in using this.

Email Forwarding service by Gmail.
If you want extra security, you can create one more account with same steps and use email forwarding service of Gmail to forward it to main account.

You can use Co.CC email forwarders too. Check the video below to use them.
Using your Cpanel to forward emails.
You can get an domain + Hosting then forward it to your email.
If you don't know how to do this, I will write a tutorial if requested.
Using HF to secure your account.
If you are Ub3r member, you can use Hackforums' emails as forwarders. This is very useful.

Generate Secure passwords.
After setting this, you should change your password. I recommend you to use https://www.random.org/passwords/ or http://www.pctools.com/guides/password/ to generate your secured passwords.
After changing your password, you should of course note it down.
If you can't remember take a book, maybe whichever is your favourite turn to page number 69 and write your password. Well no one will know that's your HF password tbh.
Changing your email on forum.
Now time to change your HF email id.
Use any of the above emails to your HF account.
I can, guarantee you that your account is safer and it's almost unhackable, but you still need to be safe and change passwords and emails frequently.

It takes like, 30 seconds, which isn't too long to wait :\

Yes, because I never liked Hotmail's service. I had some problems recovering my old account.
Many members who use MyBB forums have problem with password reset if they use Hotmail and Gmail works fine.

I agree but I've seen three threads being posted here. Two of them were from this year.
