enough for bf3 and assassins creed 3? - c4ff31n - Dec 15, 2012 System Model: HP xw4600 Workstation -Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (4 CPUs) -Memory: 8192MB RAM -Card name: NVIDIA Quadro FX 580 -Display Memory: 4071 MB -Dedicated Memory: 487 MB -Shared Memory: 3583 MB The guy want to sell this desktop for 300$ and he says it runs bf3 but i dont trust him... I have no idea about graphic cards... Could you please help me? sorry for the double post the forum was having some kind of problem (503 error). should i buy this destop or eirher choose this for 50$ more : hp xw 4600 core 2 quad cpu Q9550 @ 2.83) (RAM : 4 GO) ( HDD : 160 Gb) (NVIDIA QUADRO FX 4600) sorry again * - elemein - Dec 15, 2012 Quadro's are moreso workstation GPUs than gamer GPUs... For 300$, the build is a pretty decent deal, and if you swapped out the GPU, you could have a very capable computer on your hands. * - Fluorescent - Dec 15, 2012 No, that GPU will let you down. You need at least 194 CUDA cores or more to play BF3. * - sdq - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 07:42 AM)Fluorescent Wrote: No, that GPU will let you down. In fact, it'll run on a GT 430 (96 CUDA cores) on medium settings at 1280x1024. I don't know where you got the "atleast 194 CUDA cores required" crap from. * - Quite Empty - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 07:42 AM)Fluorescent Wrote: No, that GPU will let you down. I can't play BF3? * - elemein - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 08:10 AM)Princess Celestia Wrote: Where the hell did you get that? That is false. /e plays BF fine with TWO AMD cards. I have doubly the chance to miss out on CUDA cores and I still am fine. * - SatansFate - Dec 15, 2012 Not worth it. Bottlenecked by the processor, and workstation GPU. * - Cosmo - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 07:42 AM)Fluorescent Wrote: No, that GPU will let you down. EDIT: Also, if you were just talking about Nvidia cards, there are Nvidia cards that don't have 194 CUDA cores that can run BF3. * - c4ff31n - Dec 15, 2012 the core 2 quad q9550 would do good by far. But ffor the cards fx580 and fx4600 i dont know if any of them would meet the minimal requirements and permit me to play in low config. what do you think? * - xʋʙе - Dec 15, 2012 Ultimately it should be enough to run at decent settings, I currently have an old Q6600 CPU and it ran the game fine on my GTX 570. However, in terms of comparing both the 570 and the Quadro FX 580, I'm not sure whether it's a good comparison. Type "canirunit" into google and that should answer your question :) * - c4ff31n - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 08:48 AM)xʋʙе Wrote: Ultimately it should be enough to run at decent settings, I currently have an old Q6600 CPU and it ran the game fine on my GTX 570. i havent bought the computer yet man in order to perfor the canitunit test... what do you recommend? fx4600 or fx580? * - xʋʙе - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 08:50 AM)c4ff31n Wrote: i havent bought the computer yet man in order to perfor the canitunit test... Ah, my mistake. I'm not sure which one you should get but sometimes the most expensive one prevails. * - c4ff31n - Dec 15, 2012 okey then i suppose choice is made for the fx4600. more opinions? * - Aersol - Dec 15, 2012 Why are you looking at workstation graphics cards? They are optimized for..well...workstations. Not gaming. * - heroxoot - Dec 15, 2012 (Dec 15, 2012 07:42 AM)Fluorescent Wrote: No, that GPU will let you down. But yes thats not a gaming gpu and wont run BF3 in the slightest. |
