Quadro's are moreso workstation GPUs than gamer GPUs... For 300$, the build is a pretty decent deal, and if you swapped out the GPU, you could have a very capable computer on your hands.
No, that GPU will let you down. You need at least 194 CUDA cores or more to play BF3.

No, that's not true...
BF3 can run on the 8800 GT at 1280x720 without problems, providing that the CPU is also good enough.
In fact, it'll run on a GT 430 (96 CUDA cores) on medium settings at 1280x1024.
I don't know where you got the "atleast 194 CUDA cores required" crap from.

Where the hell did you get that? That is false.
So lets say I use a AMD card, they have no CUDA cores.
I can't play BF3?

/e plays BF fine with TWO AMD cards.
I have doubly the chance to miss out on CUDA cores and I still am fine.
Not worth it.
Bottlenecked by the processor, and workstation GPU.

Are you claiming all AMD cards can't play BF3?
Are you trolling?
EDIT:
Also, if you were just talking about Nvidia cards, there are Nvidia cards that don't have 194 CUDA cores that can run BF3.

the core 2 quad q9550 would do good by far.
But ffor the cards fx580 and fx4600 i dont know if any of them would meet the minimal requirements and permit me to play in low config.
what do you think?
Ultimately it should be enough to run at decent settings, I currently have an old Q6600 CPU and it ran the game fine on my GTX 570.
However, in terms of comparing both the 570 and the Quadro FX 580, I'm not sure whether it's a good comparison. Type "canirunit" into google and that should answer your question :)

Ah, my mistake. I'm not sure which one you should get but sometimes the most expensive one prevails.

okey then i suppose choice is made for the fx4600.
more opinions?
Why are you looking at workstation graphics cards? They are optimized for..well...workstations. Not gaming.

LOLWHAT?
Are you a dumb mother fucker or what? Battlefield has no use for cuda or physx in any way.
But yes thats not a gaming gpu and wont run BF3 in the slightest.
