Please help. Most newer laptops have a seperate recovery partition on them to restore the factory settings as it was shipped. * - The Prophet - Jan 4, 2013 (Jan 4, 2013 08:12 PM)kingpin12685 Wrote: Most newer laptops have a seperate recovery partition on them to restore the factory settings as it was shipped.Do you know where I could find that? * - FederalReserveOSRS - Jan 4, 2013 Do you have a system cd? If you look in "my computer" or computer in newer versions of windows, do you see a seperate partition for recovery other then your C: drive i mean. Also would help if you could give the make and model of the laptop please for instance, my HP came shipped with a HP_RECOVERY (F:) partition which holds a factory default copy of the operating system within it. It can be accessed by pushing f11 before windows starts to boot to enter the recovery manager. Different manufacturer's will have different ways to enter recovery though, hence me asking make and model * - The Prophet - Jan 4, 2013 (Jan 4, 2013 08:21 PM)kingpin12685 Wrote: If you look in "my computer" or computer in newer versions of windows, do you see a seperate partition for recovery other then your C: drive i mean.
