Please help. Most newer laptops have a seperate recovery partition on them to restore the factory settings as it was shipped. If you look in "my computer" or computer in newer versions of windows, do you see a seperate partition for recovery other then your C: drive i mean. Also would help if you could give the make and model of the laptop please for instance, my HP came shipped with a HP_RECOVERY (F:) partition which holds a factory default copy of the operating system within it. It can be accessed by pushing f11 before windows starts to boot to enter the recovery manager. Different manufacturer's will have different ways to enter recovery though, hence me asking make and model (Jan 4, 2013 08:21 PM)kingpin12685 Wrote: If you look in "my computer" or computer in newer versions of windows, do you see a seperate partition for recovery other then your C: drive i mean. I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium..It's a Samsung..Not sure of the model Oh, I'll try rebooting and check the bios setting maybe.. Start laptop, keep pressing F8
Select repair your computer. Windows Recovery Environment will boot After that click Start command prompt. Type DISKPART and then press enter type select disk 0 and then press enter type clean and then press enter type exit wpeutil shutdown That's it.
Boot GParted ( http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ ) and format your hard drive as NTSF if you are installing windows
there are many tools can do this thing (format computer physically) i recommend to you using HDD low level format its amazing and your hard drive will be like when you just buy it :)
here is a link to know some information and download the tool : http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-LLF-Low-...rmat-Tool/ |
