Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected boot device and - yellowhorse - May 21, 2013 Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key is what I get on my desktop it will turn on then after a few minutes restart and when it turns back on it will say that can anyone help. * - hr6677 - May 21, 2013 I would say that you either have an issue with your hard drive, loose cable, or power supply... I recently worked on a computer that would have about a 50 percent chance of booting.. The other 50 percent it would say no boot disk... The power supply may not be giving enough or proper voltage to support the hard drive... I replaced the power supply and all was better. Sounds like a similar problem... * - DencoSK - May 22, 2013 Check, if you can see your hard drive in BIOS. Also check your booting priorities (HDD should be first). * - Corso - May 22, 2013 (May 22, 2013 03:03 AM)DencoSK Wrote: Check, if you can see your hard drive in BIOS. This is a good way to find out where you stand on the issue at hand, though boot device order does not have to have HDD in slot one - It helps if having issues booting. Please do that and then post full details on your current OS installed (XP, 7, 8, DUAL BOOTING ANYTHING, ETC). * - plexplate4 - May 22, 2013 If the harddisk doesn't appear in BIOS you have to open up the computer and check the data and power cable of your harddisk. |
