[Preview] PC Management ~ Application - HustlerEnergy - Jul 23, 2013 Hi HackForums! This is my first post so please take it easy on me. This is one of my first applications using .NET, I am just getting the hang of it's functions and what not. It is a computer management like application and I only have a few things working on it at the moment. I am looking for your feedback as it would help me out ALOT when it comes to programming. The theme is used is from, I believe to be AeonHack - Net Seal Theme. ![]() The progressbar's update in real time (using a timer). I need to learn about threading and such things. Thanks. * - Sapientia - Jul 23, 2013 If this is truly your first application, and you didn't copy and paste the whole thing then great job! * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 23, 2013 (Jul 23, 2013 01:30 PM)Sapientia Wrote: If this is truly your first application, and you didn't copy and paste the whole thing then great job! The only real thing I copied was the theme :). Thanks! * - Washi - Jul 23, 2013 (Jul 23, 2013 01:19 PM)Ch0s3N1One1 Wrote: The progressbar's update in real time (using a timer). I need to learn about threading and such things. Using a timer would perfectly suit for these kind of operations. Timers are actually meant to do this; calling a procedure on every interval. Threads are meant to execute something on another thread, in order to make something asynchronously, and not periodically. * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 23, 2013 (Jul 23, 2013 01:39 PM)TheUnknownProgrammer Wrote: Using a timer would perfectly suit for these kind of operations. Sweet, thanks for the tip! Although I still need to learn about it heh -.- * - xESWx DEATH - Jul 23, 2013 this is really good for a first program im not sure if you can use wmi with .net but you should try adding cpu temp and gpu temp and fan speeds * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 23, 2013 (Jul 23, 2013 02:04 PM)xESWx DEATH Wrote: this is really good for a first program im not sure if you can use wmi with .net but you should try adding cpu temp and gpu temp and fan speeds Sounds like a good idea mate, I will look in to it. I don't think WMI does work with .NET but I will try and find a solution to it. * - ScΛrƒΛc3_ - Jul 23, 2013 Nice app, my feedback is just positive, keep the good work. * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 23, 2013 Updated some things a little. Added a temperature suggestion although, it is a little buggy and won't show different temperatures for more than 1 core (dual core, quad core etc). GPU temperature doesn't show anything in the image as I don't have a dedicated GPU, it's onboard.
* - CodeAssassin - Jul 23, 2013 Have to admit your one of the only people (new guys) i have seen release something that is not total crap :3 Gratz mate :) Keep it up! * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 23, 2013 (Jul 23, 2013 03:36 PM)sweetysuckscock Wrote: Have to admit your one of the only people (new guys) i have seen release something that is not total crap :3 Gratz mate :) Keep it up! Thanks dude <3 means a lot to me. I understand what you mean, I have seen a few shitty releases on this (from new members) so far and I've not been a member too long. * - ᒪeumonic - Jul 23, 2013 While it may be fairly easy to create, I still have to give you mad props for doing something unique. * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 24, 2013 Updated with CPU usage showing 2 cores (if you have 2 cores or more). If you have more than 2 cores then only the 2 will be shown. If you only have a single core then your CPU usage will be identified by Core 0. Here is a screenshot of what I have so far, please leave anything you would like to see implemented. ![]() The misc section is looking bare and need suggestions as to what I should add to it. * - Evident - Jul 24, 2013 Looks really good. I've been coding a type of system manager like this in my free time the past few weeks. It's good to see something other than a crypter in this section. At least some people still have some creativity. * - HustlerEnergy - Jul 24, 2013 (Jul 24, 2013 10:53 PM)stupidcomedycenter Wrote: Looks really good. Sure it's fine as a learning base but there's already 1000s out there and most of the sources are the same just a different name on it. |
