is it possible to bypass .htaccess restrictions? - timr - Mar 23, 2014

As the title goes,
would it be possible to bypass .htaccess,
or within a directory make a private/public key .htaccess and make that directory work independently without out sourcing the real .htaccess from root.

Regards,
Timr 🤝

It depends if there is some type of vulnerability in that version of Apache. htaccess is a set of rules given by the server that restricts people from doing something or modifies how the site works. It's an alternative to the httpd.conf or apache2.conf file.
