Best and most secure file deletion program? - SIM-810273 - May 12, 2014 This is for Windows 8, what would you recommend as a good, safe, fast and secure file deletion software that removes a file(s) entirely beyond recovery. Thanks. * - webdev77 - May 12, 2014 Destroy your hdd and melt it in a fire. Honestly, do that if you are that concerned about it. Else, removing it with any program found off google is more than sufficient. Heck, even just removing it from your recycle bin is good enough. I doubt anybody is trying to steal your data. * - Elements. - May 12, 2014 Data stands until it is overwritten. Overwrite your data if you are using a regular HDD * - Aura - May 12, 2014 You can use a simple software like Ereaser or same Antiviruses "shredder" feature. It does the job. * - SIM-810273 - May 13, 2014 Ok, thats fine then if I don't need any particular software. Would AVG's file shredder do the job well? * - Aura - May 13, 2014 (May 13, 2014 12:33 PM)IronMan™ Wrote: Ok, thats fine then if I don't need any particular software. Any kind of shredder, if they overwrite the location where the data was will do the job. |
