[FIX] vmware bridge not working - unideb50 - Jun 26, 2014 Hi I wanted to share my solution, regarding the use of bridged mode for a VM with VMware Workstation. My version is 10.0.0 build-1295980. Since I spend a couple of hours trying to find out the correct answer, because they give a lot of different solutions and most of them are for old versions of VMware. So here it is with pictures. First you need to go to EDIT ![]() Then Click on Virtual network Editor... ![]() Then you need to check your VM NIC for bridged in this case is VMnet0. After that you click on Bridged which normally is selected as automatic; and after that you need to select you real NIC in my case Inter® Ethernet Connection I217V ... ![]() Then click in ok and that’s it. Note: Since the VM NIC was being detected as unknown network I disabled them on the host OS. Either way it worked. ![]() Here is a pic of a VM in bridged mode that was able to correctly connect to the network directly. ![]() Useful links https://www.vmware.com/support/ws55/doc/ws_net_configurations_changing_bridged_windows.html Official Help http://pubs.vmware.com/workstation-10/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.vmware.ws.using.doc%2FGUID-BAFA66C3-81F0-4FCA-84C4-D9F7D258A60A.html Hoping I have saved you some time. 👍 🤝 * - T e s s e r a c t - Jun 26, 2014 That is a very high quality tutorial fix. Thanks for this share, my bridging has been more than fine though. 😝 |
