Hi
I wanted to share my solution, regarding the use of bridged mode for a VM with VMware Workstation. My version is 10.0.0 build-1295980.
Since I spend a couple of hours trying to find out the correct answer, because they give a lot of different solutions and most of them are for old versions of VMware.
So here it is with pictures.
First you need to go to EDIT

Then Click on Virtual network Editor...

Then you need to check your VM NIC for bridged in this case is VMnet0.
After that you click on Bridged which normally is selected as automatic; and after that you need to select you real NIC in my case Inter® Ethernet Connection I217V ...

Then click in ok and that’s it.
Note:
Since the VM NIC was being detected as unknown network I disabled them on the host OS. Either way it worked.

Here is a pic of a VM in bridged mode that was able to correctly connect to the network directly.
