Rep in order to post in Marketplace - Dylan25079 - Jul 6, 2014 I don't understand why someone needs rep to post, Because just because you have rep doesn't mean that person won't scam etc. Can anyone explain why you need rep to post in Marketplace and nothing else? * - A Fox - Jul 6, 2014 To prevent someone with a brand new account posting in the marketplace..? * - Dylan25079 - Jul 6, 2014 (Jul 6, 2014 11:31 PM)A Fox Wrote: To prevent someone with a brand new account posting in the marketplace..? Yes, but someone can make a brand new account and have a friend "rep" them. * - zeroexp - Jul 6, 2014 Stop complaining about rep. Earn some by being HQ . * - A Fox - Jul 6, 2014 (Jul 6, 2014 11:31 PM)Dylan25079 Wrote: Yes, but someone can make a brand new account and have a friend "rep" them.People are smart (not really, sometimes though) and can see that if someone joins 1 day ago and has a rep on that day that it's probably bullshit. * - Orgasms - Jul 6, 2014 No one can be trusted on the internet in my honest opinion, despite the amount of 'rep' they have. I do however see the reason as to why people need reputation to post in the marketplace. If this rule wasn't in place, new members like yourself and I could come here, intentionally to scam someone. * - tired- - Jul 6, 2014 It's another necessary layer of security. That section would be terrible with a bunch of new accounts, the one rep helps filter a lot of bad traffic. Even if people are able to "bypass" it, it still stops a lot of accounts and makes it more difficult overall. * - Dylan25079 - Jul 6, 2014 (Jul 6, 2014 11:37 PM)Nope. This actually explains what I was asking for, It makes since, thanks. * - Иллюзия - Jul 6, 2014 (Jul 6, 2014 11:30 PM)Dylan25079 Wrote: I don't understand why someone needs rep to post, Because just because you have rep doesn't mean that person won't scam etc. It's probably to ensure people won't scam as a new member. * - Dylan25079 - Jul 6, 2014 Why are these people repping me and negative repping me? I wasn't asking for rep, I was asking a question. * - tired- - Jul 6, 2014 (Jul 6, 2014 11:39 PM)Dylan25079 Wrote: Why are these people repping me and negative repping me? Thank you, I was going to PM you asking who to Pm to get it removed, but I didn't have 25 posts to Pm. * - RelationShit - Jul 6, 2014 Even if you had 1 rep And posted on there.. You would still need 25 posts to be able to PM the people that want to be in contact with you about your product/service. 🤣 Edit: seems like you found out, nvm. * - tired- - Jul 6, 2014 This is actually keeping me entertained. Why is this keeping me entertained? I'm going to go play games. * - bοxxy - Jul 6, 2014 This is just to prevent spam, and also for the people who have negative reputation to keep them out. |
