So the official website has launched which is dedicated to stopping piracy of anime. In one sense I fully support what they are doing, and the way they've gone about it (so far) is great, offering legitimate alternatives which will support the industry. What I'm worried about is how this will affect the western anime community. There's plenty of anime which aren't aired legally here in the West, and especially for me in Britain - so it leaves me with no choice but to stream/download sometimes.
For those wondering, here's an image robbed from Hummingbird of which sites are being planned to be shut down by MAG:

Wait, they plan to remove copyrighted content from these sites or completely shut down all of them? Because Youtube, Pandora, and even MySpace (lol) are on that list, second column to the right

The one's that's going to be left are free scanlators and i don't think a few groups can work on all the mangas lol.
