Run CMD Hidden from Run (WindowsKey + R) - Jon Snow - Oct 3, 2014 I have to run it hidden.... any way to do it? That's what I'm doing right now: cmd /c ipconfig This will close the cmd right after command execution. However, I need to have it completely hidden. Any way to do this? Thanks * - White Light - Oct 3, 2014 How about, instead of trying to do something in a very convoluted way, you explain what exactly you're trying to accomplish and we can go from there. * - Jon Snow - Oct 3, 2014 (Oct 3, 2014 09:36 AM)White Light Wrote: How about, instead of trying to do something in a very convoluted way, you explain what exactly you're trying to accomplish and we can go from there. I want to run C:/shit.exe with Run -> invisible cmd -> blabla Run c:/shit.exe won't work. * - G T X - Oct 3, 2014 Look at the options for start /? I think there is a switch that hides the window. Maybe /B? For background process? Why do you need to hide the window though? * - White Light - Oct 3, 2014 (Oct 3, 2014 09:46 AM)G T X Wrote: Look at the options for start /? Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to run C:/shit.exe, sounds like a very crappy thing to do. * - G T X - Oct 3, 2014 (Oct 3, 2014 09:48 AM)White Light Wrote: Start only has /MIN as far as hiding. Hmm. * - White Light - Oct 3, 2014 (Oct 3, 2014 10:11 AM)G T X Wrote: Ah you're right. As usual. I'm not sure what program I was thinking about... Hmm. Start /B is useful for multiple CMD instances running within the same window, great for threading. * - b00st3d - Oct 3, 2014 You can use a .vbs to do this. create invisible.vbs with the line below. Code CreateObject("Wscript.Shell").Run """" & WScript.Arguments(0) & """", 0, Falseto use it call it like this from your script Code wscript.exe "invisible.vbs" "yourFile.bat"the only way to close it after that is to open task manager and kill cmd.exe * - annikk.exe - Oct 3, 2014 Here's a pure batch method of running something silently. It works by creating a Scheduled Task that will run under the System account. Requires admin. Code @echo off |
