Best alternative to notepad++ on mac? - theoldbrit - Jan 3, 2015 So i used to use notepad++ but now it doesn't work. I got text wrangler but it makes everything left to right in one long line. What do y'all use * - Harbo5 - Jan 3, 2015 TextWrangler. It's free and available on the App Store. Here's a direct link to the App Store, it'll trigger an external protocol request and will open the app on the App Store. http://appstore.com/mac/TextWrangler * - Herbo - Jan 3, 2015 (Jan 3, 2015 02:40 PM)Harbo5 Wrote: TextWrangler. I've never had issues pasting code I to TextWrangler. Can you link what you're pasting? * - Commview - Jan 3, 2015 (Jan 3, 2015 03:29 PM)Encide Wrote: but as i said in the main thread, it makes it all in one long line.Have you tried turning on word wrap? * - Dank In The Bank - Jan 3, 2015 Check out Sublime Text pretty decent * - -VenoM - Jan 3, 2015 What are you using the text editor for exactly? I've heard great things about text wrangler as well. * - Willful - Jan 4, 2015 I'd vouch for Sublime Text. I used to use Notepad++, but after a friend of mine showed me Sublime Text, I never went back to Notepad++. I thought the user interface was a lot nicer, and for me to use it while doing some simple scripting, it was pretty convenient. * - Vitamin Energy - Jan 4, 2015 Brackets.io should do what you want and i have never had any issues 🤝 * - gutizgz - Jan 4, 2015 You should try Sublime Text. I use it everyday * - King of Hearts - Jan 4, 2015 I've been using Sublime text for a ling time now. However, I've also heard good things about http://Atom.io * - Bertha Bigdong - Jan 4, 2015 What type of files are you editing? Just use vim. * - clark.dll - Jan 4, 2015 Sublime Text 2 would be your best alternative.. It's lightweight, it has tons of plug ins available, and it's free. http://www.sublimetext.com/2 * - Sʜʀᴀᴘɴᴇʟ - Jan 4, 2015 Ew text wrangler *shivers*... I would highly recommend Atom or Sublime Text |
