Do it like this: hashcat -a 3 hash.txt * - Forezza - Jan 13, 2015 You are missing -> The hash type -m (MD5 is 0) -> You should probably specify an output file with -o -> Define a charset to bruteforce with Honestly, I'd suggest just using the GUI to generate a few attacks so you understand how it works. You can download the GUI from hashkiller + read https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=mask_attack * - ᴨᴜᴌᴌ - Jan 13, 2015 Thanks guys for helping, @chick3nman I have also tried it that way and it still says incorrect. @Forezza I will try the GUI, thanks for the link and the suggestions! I will report back if it works properly * - chick3nman - Jan 13, 2015 (Jan 13, 2015 09:20 PM)Forezza Wrote: You are missing I believe it will default to simple ?1?2?2?2?2?2?3?3 and then ?u?l?d * - Forezza - Jan 13, 2015 (Jan 13, 2015 09:57 PM)chick3nman Wrote: I believe it will default to simple ?1?2?2?2?2?2?3?3 and then ?u?l?d It should if you don't specify anything, but it is good to have one anyway :P. * - chick3nman - Jan 13, 2015 (Jan 13, 2015 10:03 PM)Forezza Wrote: It should if you don't specify anything, but it is good to have one anyway :P.
